Club Coach - Junior Program, Club Program, Learn to Row Programs & Youth Camp Coach

"Hello, I'm Ellen! I started rowing at the Regina Rowing club when I was in grade 11, beginning in the high school learn to row program. I moved into the junior competitive program where I have rowed for both the Regina Rowing Club as well as Team Saskatchewan. This past year I rowed for the University of British Columbia. I just finished the second year of my degree, currently studying earth and ocean sciences. I am back in Regina for the summer to coach as well as continue rowing before going back to school in the fall. I am looking forward to a fun summer of coaching and rowing!"

Hi, I’m Julie! I first started rowing in 2011 when I was fourteen, after coming across the sport spontaneously during “Club Day” in grade nine. After doing some on-water sessions that fall, I began to enjoy the discipline, consistency, and hard work that rowing taught me. While dealing with a shoulder injury in my fourth year, I decided to quit rowing and transitioned to managing and coaching at the RRC (2016 and 2017). These summers allowed me to apply my passion for the sport in different roles and I loved seeing members progress on the water and/or compete in their first race. As I return to coaching, I’m looking forward to being back in the community and (hopefully) also being back in a boat, rowing!

Hi I’m Brooklyn! I started rowing 2019 through my school’s learn to row, but I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with it because my prior comment to ringette and softball. However, in the midst of the Covid lockdown my friend called me to join a zoom call for rowing, knowing that my other sports were on hold. I joined the meeting and got on the water that week. I fell in love with the sport and its community. Rowing is now my number one. I trained for two years and qualified for Canada Games in the pair, four and eight. I now have plans to go to UVic to row and go to school. Outside of rowing I like rock climbing, crocheting and baking! A fun fact about me is that I love rowing sweep boats. I look forward to coaching athletes this summer and making some fun memories!
